Russian, Azerbaijani Emergency Ministers discuss collaboration between nations

(MENAFN) The Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations announced that its minister met with his Azerbaijani counterpart in Baku on Tuesday for bilateral discussions.

During the meeting, Alexander Kurenkov and Kamaladdin Heydarov addressed various aspects of collaboration between their countries' emergency management agencies, as stated by the ministry.

"The head of the Russian agency expressed gratitude to Azerbaijan for organizing the evacuation of Russian citizens from Iran during the recent Iran-Israel conflict," the statement said.

The two officials also reviewed ongoing cooperation between their departments and acknowledged Azerbaijan’s role in supporting the work of the International Civil Defense Organization, which is currently holding its 58th session in Baku.

"Joint work in this direction proves that saving lives and mutual assistance are prioritized in international cooperation among emergency services," the ministry added.
