Pakistan Reports 10 Dead, Over 60 Injured in Two Traffic Crashes

(MENAFN) At least 10 people lost their lives and over 60 got wounded in two separate traffic accidents in Pakistan’s southern Sindh province on Sunday, police confirmed.

The first crash occurred in Thatta district when a bus carrying a group of picnickers overturned. Police sources from the area stated to media the vehicle was speeding at the time of the incident. The bus overturned because it was exceeding the speed limit, they said. Six people were killed and more than 20 others sustained injuries.

In the second accident, a passenger bus traveling from Karachi to Mansehra overturned on the National Highway in Khairpur district. According to police, the crash killed four people and left 40 others injured, including women and children.

Both incidents happened within hours of each other and have prompted local authorities to investigate possible causes, including reckless driving and road conditions.
