Gaza Bleeds: Israeli Strikes Kill Over 65,250 Palestinians

(MENAFN) At least 65,283 Palestinians have died in Israel’s genocidal campaign against the enclave since October 2023, according to a Sunday statement by Gaza’s Health Ministry.

The ministry reported that in the past 24 hours, 75 bodies—including four recovered from beneath rubble—were delivered to hospitals. Additionally, 304 individuals were wounded, raising the total number of injuries in the Israeli offensive to 166,575.

“Many victims are still trapped under the rubble and on the roads as rescuers are unable to reach them,” the ministry warned.

The statement also revealed that Israeli army fire killed five Palestinians and injured 24 more while they sought humanitarian aid in the last day. This brings the total number of Palestinians killed during aid attempts to 2,523, with over 18,473 wounded since October 7.

Since March 18, Israeli forces have intensified attacks on Gaza, killing at least 12,724 people and injuring 54,534, effectively ending a ceasefire and prisoner exchange deal that had been in place since January, the ministry said.

In November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, charging them with war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.

Israel is also confronting a genocide case at the International Court of Justice related to its military actions in the region.
